We’re thrilled to announce that our own David Shimotakahara will play an integral role in the development of a new work for The Cleveland Playhouse, The Good Peaches. The new work will premiere as part of CPH’s celebratory 100th season and will feature a powerhouse artistic staff of Shimotakahara, Director Laura Kepley (CPH Artistic Director), Playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes (Tony Award Winner/Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright) and Brett Mitchell (Conductor, Cleveland Orchestra).
This past Sunday The Today Show aired a segment about this season at CPH. A true point of pride for Cleveland, the many celebrated actors that got their start here and artists that create in our region:
As Don Carrier (Associate Director, CWRU-CPH Acting Program) says in the video: “…[It’s] a theater with so much history…you feel a part of the continuum.”
The Good Peaches will run from April 14 – 16. Be a part of this exciting moment in Cleveland’s artistic community – tickets are selling quickly and are available here.
