June 12 – 15
Cleveland is proud to host the Dance/USA Annual Conference this year from June 12-15. GroundWorks is honored to be part of the host committee that has been working for the past year to plan and implement this national conference. This annual gathering of national and international dance professionals features workshops, performances, panel discussions and symposia highlighting the breadth and depth of American dance. We are thrilled to have the chance to highlight our local dance community to the conference attendees and show off all that Cleveland has to offer!
From the Dance/USA website:
“The Dance/USA Annual Conference is an invigorating gathering of dance professionals united by their interests in advancing dance and celebrating the joy of movement. It is a time to honor leaders in the field, share and access new resources, and connect with peers through thought-provoking training and conversations. Together, attendees discover innovative approaches to shared problems and strengthen relationships among fellow dance professionals.
The Annual Conference travels to a different city each year, highlighting the unique vibrancy of dance communities around the nation. These varied locales offer new inspiration and showcase the host city’s arts and dance ecosystem.”
Every year, over 500 individuals associated with the professional dance field join Dance/USA for the Annual Conference. These individuals include independent artists, dance presenters, agents, education and service providers, executive directors, artistic directors, company managers, fundraisers, presenters and more from across the country and around the world!
