JUDY GHAZOUL HILOW

Executive Director, Malachi House

  • Judy has over 35 years of accounting, non-profit and fundraising experience. For almost 10 years, Judy has been the Executive Director of Malachi House, who serves those in need who are terminally ill. She began her career in accounting as an auditor with Ernst & Whinney in Cleveland and later as the Capital Campaign Supervisor for the Cleveland Sight Center. Judy has also assisted parishes within the Cleveland Catholic Diocese with fundraising and development. She is well known for her work as a “Servant Leader” and volunteer in the Cleveland community and abroad. In 2018, Judy was nominated to attend a two-year program at Case Western Reserve University to receive her Executive MBA and Certificate of Nonprofit Management from the Weatherhead School of Business and the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, respectively. Two years ago, Judy was nominated by the Harvard Business School of Northeast Ohio to attend and receive her certificate in Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management. Last year, Judy was nominated to attend the FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy and attended the Quantico program over the summer. Judy and her husband Henry of 37 years have dedicated their life to their five children and they are the proud grandparents of Charlotte and Anastasia Andreani. Dancing with Groundworks may be her greatest accomplishment yet, alongside her family.

  • Why did you become an It Takes Two! celebrity dancer?

    So honored to be asked and I thought-I can do this!

    How has it been working with your GroundWorks dance partner?

    Tori is so enjoyable to be with and an amazing dancer! She should also do standup comedy!

    What has surprised you about the creative process?

    The Creative Process comes together so quickly!

    What about dance in general connects with you?

    The music we have chosen has been the driving factor behind the dancing.

    Why should people vote for you?

    Just because I attempted this at the age of 60!!
